Understand the Checklist process, discuss the available evidence and prepare with confidence. 📄 Practical Support for a DST Assessment
The Decision Support Tool (DST) assessment is usually the stage at which eligibility for NHS Continuing Healthcare is determined. How It WorksAfter purchasing Practical CHC Support, simply book a convenient appointment using the online calendar.
All Practical CHC Support consultations take place via Microsoft Teams and usually last 2–3 hours. No Microsoft account is required. At the time of your appointment, simply click the Teams link in your confirmation email to join the consultation. If you experience any difficulties, please contact ARROW using the telephone number provided in your confirmation email. As part of the booking process, you’ll be asked to complete a short questionnaire about your circumstances and upload any relevant documents. This allows ARROW to review the available information before the consultation so that our time together can focus on analysing your case rather than gathering background information. Family members, attorneys and care providers are welcome to join the consultation from different locations if appropriate. What You'll ReceiveDepending on the stage you’ve reached, your Practical CHC Support package may include:
✔ A draft NHS Checklist with indicative domain levels supported by the available evidence (for Checklists and Reviews) ✔ A draft Decision Support Tool (DST) with indicative domain levels and supporting rationale (for DST assessments and appeals) ✔ A structured Primary Health Need analysis explaining how the four key characteristics may apply to your loved one’s needs. ✔ A bespoke written report summarising the consultation, recommendations and agreed next steps. ✔ Practical recommendations identifying further evidence that may strengthen your case.
