Talk Through Your Situation With a CHC Specialist

This service is for individuals and families who want to talk through care needs in detail with ARROW before deciding how best to approach the NHS Continuing Healthcare process.

It may be useful if you are unsure whether CHC may be relevant, preparing for a Checklist or Decision Support Tool (DST) assessment, responding to a funding decision, or trying to understand whether further specialist support may be needed.

Unlike the online review, this service is completed through a detailed one-to-one consultation with Dr Ros Setterfield. The discussion usually lasts around 2–3 hours and can take place by telephone, Microsoft Teams or WhatsApp audio/video call.

Following the consultation, ARROW will prepare a written CHC Triage Report exploring the person’s care needs, how those needs may fit within the NHS Continuing Healthcare framework, and what may be important if a Checklist, DST assessment, review or appeal is being considered.

Reports are typically provided within 2 working days of the consultation.

• The written report can then be used as a reference document when speaking with health or social care professionals, preparing for a Checklist or DST meeting, considering whether to challenge a decision, or deciding whether further advocacy or representation may be beneficial.

The report is not a guarantee of eligibility and does not replace the formal NHS assessment process. Its purpose is to provide a realistic, evidence-based foundation to help you understand where you stand and make informed decisions about next steps.

How the Service Works

After purchasing the consultation-based review, you will receive a link to book your consultation directly with ARROW.

The consultation is designed to explore the person’s health conditions, care needs, associated risks, support requirements and current position within the CHC process.

Following the consultation, ARROW will prepare a bespoke, detailed, written report, tailored to the individual circumstances discussed.

Reports are normally supplied electronically in PDF format. Printed hard copies can be arranged on request.
