How This Service Can Help
|
TThe NHS Continuing Healthcare process can feel confusing, particularly when families are trying to understand whether CHC may be relevant, what evidence matters, or how needs are likely to be viewed during an assessment.
ARROW’s Online CHC Triage & Assessment Preparation Review is designed to help you make sense of the situation before investing significant time, energy or expense pursuing a claim or preparing for an assessment or a review.. Following completion of the online assessment questionnaire, you will receive a detailed written report exploring the care needs presented, how those needs may fit within the NHS Continuing Healthcare framework, and the issues, evidence and risks that may be important if a Checklist, Decision Support Tool (DST), review or appeal is being considered. The report is not a guarantee of eligibility and does not replace the formal NHS assessment process. Its purpose is to provide a realistic, evidence-based foundation to help you understand where you stand and make informed decisions about what to do next. The report can be used:

How the Service Works
|
The service begins with ARROW’s structured online assessment questionnaire, which follows the same care domains and principles used throughout the NHS Continuing Healthcare framework.
After purchasing the review, you will receive access to the questionnaire, which explores the person’s health conditions, care needs, associated risks, support requirements and current circumstances. The questionnaire typically takes around 45–60 minutes to complete, although not every section will apply to every individual. Once submitted, all information is personally reviewed by ARROW and used to prepare a bespoke, written report tailored to the National Framework and the individual's particular circumstances. Reports are typically provided within 2 working days of questionnaire submission and are normally supplied electronically in PDF format. Printed hard copies can be arranged on request. Fee: £350 fixed fee |
What You Will Receive
|
An Independent View of Whether CHC May Be Relevant
You'll receive an evidence-based opinion on whether the needs described appear capable of supporting further NHS Continuing Healthcare consideration, or whether they appear more consistent with ordinary social care provision. Understanding of What Is Likely to Matter Most You'll be provided with a clear explanation of the needs, risks and care issues most likely to be relevant during a Checklist, Decision Support Tool (DST), review or appeal, together with discussion of why they may be important. Understanding How the NHS May View the Needs Presented You'll gain insight into how the NHS Continuing Healthcare framework considers different types of care needs, including the distinction between healthcare needs and social care needs and the factors that commonly influence decision-making. Guidance on Evidence and Preparation Where appropriate, the report will identify areas where further information, care records, clinical evidence or professional input may strengthen understanding of the person’s needs and circumstances. Practical Next Steps You'll receive recommendations about possible next steps, whether that involves requesting an assessment, preparing for a meeting, gathering evidence, reviewing a decision or seeking further specialist support. Your Written CHC Triage Report All findings, observations and recommendations are brought together in a professionally prepared written report that can be referred to throughout the NHS Continuing Healthcare process and shared with health and social care professionals if required. Reports are typically provided within 2 working days of questionnaire submission and are normally supplied electronically in PDF format. Printed hard copies can be arranged on request. Fee: £350 fixed fee |
