How We Work
All fees and payment terms are confirmed in writing before work begins. We never increase the fee of fixed fee work, or exceed the agreed scope of variable fee work without your approval. We are committed to delivering high-quality, individualised support - ensuring you receive expert advice, cost transparency, and genuine value at every stage. Our Payment Terms and Conditions can be viewed here:
Our Commitment to Transparency
At ARROW, fees are structured clearly and agreed in advance.
Each piece of work is carefully defined before it begins, so you understand what is included, what you will receive, and what it will cost. There are no open-ended arrangements and no unexpected additions once the scope has been agreed. This ensures that support remains proportionate, focused and aligned with the stage of the NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) process you are navigating. Free Initial Conversation A complimentary 30-minute telephone consultation is available for individuals and families who wish to explore whether CHC funding may be relevant to their circumstances. This conversation provides an opportunity to outline the situation, clarify how CHC operates in practice, and consider whether further work would be appropriate. There is no obligation to proceed. Fixed-Fee Reassurance Many ARROW services are offered on a fixed-fee basis, including the CHC Eligibility Review, Comprehensive Support Package, Reviews Service and short-notice advocacy. The scope of work is agreed in advance and delivered in full. This provides certainty from the outset and avoids the uncertainty that can arise with hourly billing structures. Where Cases are More Complex For appeals, retrospective funding claims, and other stage-dependent matters, fees are structured according to the level of involvement required and the stage of the process. This approach ensures that support remains proportionate. Some cases require targeted advisory input; others involve detailed evidential preparation and representation across multiple stages. Continuity and Responsiveness
CHC cases rarely unfold quickly. Assessments, reviews and appeals can span several months, and the individual’s health may change during that time.
ARROW works on the understanding that circumstances are not static. Where there are changes in condition, care provision or risk profile, documentation and strategy are updated accordingly so that the evidential position remains accurate and current. Clients are not left navigating developments alone between stages of the process. Direct contact is maintained throughout, and changes in situation are addressed promptly. In order to preserve this level of oversight and responsiveness, ARROW maintains a deliberately limited caseload. This ensures that each case receives sustained attention and careful handling from start to finish. Value NHS Continuing Healthcare decisions are technical and evidence-based. The way needs are presented and aligned with the National Framework can materially affect the outcome. Careful preparation at the right stage reduces delay and strengthens the evidential position before formal decisions are made. Many CHC cases span several months rather than weeks. During that time, circumstances change, crises occur, new records emerge and review dates shift. Families often need reassurance, rapid advice and steady guidance between formal stages - not just at meetings. ARROW remains actively involved throughout, updating documentation as situations evolve, responding promptly to developments and providing consistent oversight from first enquiry through to conclusion. This level of continuity and personal involvement is central to the value of the service. Clients work directly with an experienced practitioner who retains detailed knowledge of the case over time, rather than a rotating team or staged handover model. The fee reflects not only formal preparation and representation, but sustained professional availability across the life of the case. |
