A detailed independent NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) Eligibility/Assessment Preparation Review completed through ARROW’s structured online assessment process.
Using a domain-based approach aligned with the National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare, this in-depth review explores the individual’s care needs, associated risks, support requirements and overall presentation within the CHC framework. Particular consideration is given to the nature, intensity, complexity and unpredictability of those needs, together with the way in which they interact and impact upon day-to-day care.
The review may assist individuals and families who are considering CHC for the first time, preparing for a Checklist or Decision Support Tool (DST) assessment, responding to a funding decision, approaching a review, or seeking an independent understanding of current care needs and potential CHC relevance.
Following submission of the assessment questionnaire, ARROW will prepare a detailed written report. The report includes domain-by-domain analysis, indicative Checklist and DST alignment, identification of potential strengths, weaknesses and evidence gaps, practical assessment preparation guidance, and consideration of whether the available evidence suggests a potential Primary Health Need, which is the legal test used to determine eligibility for NHS Continuing Healthcare.
